Lee Hyori to her mother-in-law: “Thank you for giving me such a wonderful son”
On June 23rd, in JTBC’s entertainment program ‘Mom, Shall We Go on a Trip Alone?’, after traveling to Gyeongju, Lee Hyori and her mom were depicted spending the night in Geoje, their second destination.
That day, after ordering sashimi with her mom and taking a photo at the harbor, Lee Hyori enjoyed a happy time. However, her mom soon brought laughter by saying, “That’s enough now.”
Arriving at their lodging in Geoje, the two were captivated by the picturesque view, well-prepared cooking utensils, and even lettuce in the vegetable garden.
Lee Hyori said, “The pickled vegetables were prepared by my mother-in-law. I’m really grateful. I should call her right away.”
Lee Hyori said, “Thank you for giving me such a wonderful husband.”
Lee Hyori’s mom then said, “Hyori has become much more mature and good-hearted,” making Lee Hyori immediately end the call with her mother-in-law, laughing awkwardly.
At this moment, Lee Hyori found a text message saying “Mom, I love you,” and Mom accurately pointed out, “That was sent during the broadcast.”
Lee Hyori confessed, “I sent that to Mom saying ‘I love you,’ wondering who would respond faster,” reflecting on the situation. She took over the post-meal cleanup, and even prepared omija tea and sliced melons for dessert.
